Kam Shapiro presented “Destabilizing Racial Differences in the Detective Fiction of Chester Himes.” Ali Riaz and graduate student Md Sohel Rana co-authored “How Democracy Backslides: Tracing the Pathway in Six Countries.” T.Y. Wang presented “COVID-19 and the Anatomy of Rally Effect: the Case of Taiwan.” 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the APSA Conference was held virtually, September 9–13.
