COVID-19 may have changed everybody’s plans, but it does not need to keep you from learning how to help others needing emotional support. In fact, our family and friends need emotional support now more than ever! Student Counseling Services invites you to learn how to assist others who may be experiencing emotional distress or thinking of suicide. Why is this important? Because we can all instill and find hope.

Each one of us can make a difference when we provide support to those considering ending their lives. We invite you to take action and prepare to help. This is a good time to learn how to help. You never know when you may be the best person to assist a fellow student or friend in connecting to services. Some conversations can save lives, so learn, be ready and let your friends know that they are not alone.

You never know when you may be the best person to assist a fellow student or friend in connecting to services.

You can engage by either requesting a QPR Training for your group or association, or by completing Kognito, our online interactive suicide prevention training program. Unsure of what to do? Click on the links to each of the programs for additional information, or contact Dr. Glorivette Albino with any questions. Student Counseling Services is also available for consultation and to assist 24/7 with any crisis at (309) 438-3655.
