ReggieNet: Forums

Monday, October 26 • 9–10 a.m.

Create engaging class discussions through Forums. Learn how to automatically create discussion groups. You’ll also survey the different ways to grade discussions, including by topic or message. Registration is required.

ReggieNet: Rubrics

Tuesday, October 27 • 10–10:30 a.m.

Give your students the feedback they need to truly learn from their assignments and assessments. This workshop will introduce you to ReggieNet’s built-in Rubrics tool, show you how to construct rubrics, and associate them with Assignments, Tests & Quizzes, and more. You’ll also see how students can view rubric-based feedback. Registration is required.

Improve Your Online Course

Tuesday, October 27 • 1–4 p.m.

This half-day workshop will help you develop a course improvement plan for a blended or online course you have taught at least once – and intend to teach again. The session introduces the Quality Matters™ Higher Education Rubric and covers how to apply QM standards to improve your blended or online course.

Normally, this workshop costs $300. As a service to University instructors, CTLT will offer this workshop free of charge to instructors who have an online or blended course they want to improve. Those who successfully complete the workshop will receive Quality Matters™ certificate of completion. Registration is required. Please note: This workshop is not for building a course from scratch.

Recording Videos with PowerPoint

Wednesday, October 28 • 9–11 a.m.

Learn to record and talk over your PowerPoint slide shows from within the program and export the results as a video. Registration is required.

Photoshop: Getting Started

Thursday, October 29 • 1–4 p.m.

Get an overview of the digital image editing program, including a walkthrough of basic tools and concepts. Registration is required.
