A drive-thru food drive will be held to support the School Street Food Pantry from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 14, at the Normal First United Methodist Church at 211 North School Street.

The School Street Food Pantry, which assists students who face food insecurity, serves about 90 students weekly. Those donating are asked to enter the parking lot off Locust Street, and to have donations ready to be removed from the back seat or trunk of the vehicle as donors drive through the lot.

Donations especially needed include cooking oils, spices, condiments, soups, pasta sauce, canned chicken, canned tuna, gluten-free items, vegan or vegetarian items, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, and feminine care products.
