LIVE WELL with Eight at State Incentive Program
LIVE WELL with Eight at State is a free incentive-based program designed to support healthy living in Illinois State University students, staff, and faculty. The Eight at State initiative emphasizes a holistic approach to well-being through the intentional focus on eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational.

Engaging with the LIVE WELL program is simple. Join the program online at https://wellness.illinoisstate.edu/live-well/, take the wellness assessments, and begin to track your day-to-day activities that align with one or more of the eight dimensions of wellness. Over the course of the program LIVE WELL will host monthly challenges for participants and weekly messages designed to motivate and inform participants about ways to further develop personal wellness. Activities entered accrue points and participants become eligible for incentives. Individuals are empowered to engage with LIVE WELL at the level appropriate for them, and once 10 activities have been entered, they can choose a LIVE WELL T-shirt or stone coaster.

January Challenge: Log at least five activities in the Spiritual Wellness dimension to win a Spiritual Wellness pin and a sleep travel kit!

Every January presents an opportunity for a fresh start. Whatever your New Year’s resolutions may be, your spiritual wellness is crucial in supporting your goals and your overall well-being. This month, we challenge you to engage deeper with Spiritual Wellness, possibly making it a personal resolution for the month, and perhaps for the year.

Spiritual wellness is essentially being connected to something bigger than ourselves. Optimal spiritual wellness is when our core values and beliefs tie us to a sense of something larger than ourselves and empower us to act according to those beliefs.
