Get the funding you need to help make your teaching-related idea a reality. The deadline to apply for spring Teaching Innovations Grants has been extended to Friday, February 19, 2021.
Teaching Innovations Grants are designed to help instructors design and implement creative or innovative instruction for Illinois State students and to demonstrate new practices, which may be adopted by colleagues across the curriculum. While the concept of “innovation” may vary across disciplines, successful proposals center on an approach to teaching, or a resource to enhance teaching, that has not been widely explored at Illinois State University and has a positive impact on student learning outcomes.
These grants are open to all tenured and tenure-track faculty, full-time non-tenure track instructors, and full-time Administrative Professional (AP) staff with teaching responsibilities at Illinois State University. Individuals may receive up to $2,000, while teams (which may include graduate students) may receive up to $2,500. Successful applicants will share their innovations with the campus community at the annual University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium or through another venue sponsored by the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT).
For complete application requirements, evaluation criteria, reporting requirements, and to submit a proposal, check out the Teaching Innovations Grants page.
CTLT and partner units provide other funding for faculty covering a variety of other topics throughout the fiscal year. Explore other options to help cover small technology purchases, teaching-related travel, cultural responsiveness, and more on CTLT’s website.
