University Marketing and Communications (UMC) is seeking nominations for the annual #RedbirdProud Social Media Awards.

The awards recognize outstanding social media efforts on the University’s official accounts during both the fall and spring semesters. Nominations (including self-nominations) can be made by staff and faculty and are accepted in four categories:

  • Best overall use of social media
  • Most innovative use of social media
  • Best new/most improved social media
  • Outstanding student social media manager (new for 2020-2021)

Submissions are open until March 10 and can be submitted on the #RedbirdProud Awards website.

The award winners will be announced at UMC’s seventh annual #RedbirdProud Social Media Awards and Workshop. This event is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, via Zoom. The program honors faculty, staff, and students who manage social media accounts for the University and offers units presentations on ways to improve their social media marketing.
