The Department of Politics and Government is happy to announce the winners of our annual student and faculty awards of 2021. These awards recognize outstanding academic and service accomplishments of our undergraduate and graduate students. Due to the Covid pandemic, we will not be able to celebrate in person at our annual awards banquet, but the department will continue to recognize and celebrate student achievements and recognize faculty teaching excellence.

Top honors to students include the Hibbert R. Roberts Outstanding Senior Award, which went to Carolyn Hannon; Alice Ebel Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, which went to Bethany Ekwonwa; and Outstanding Graduate Student Award, which went to Michael McCarthy.  A full list of scholarships and awards and past winners can be found on the department website.  Award winners are also featured on our Facebook page!

Dr. Meghan Leonard has been selected as the winner of 2020-21 Hibbert R. Roberts Teaching Excellence Recognition Award and Dr. Michael Hendricks received the Pi Sigma Alpha Excellence in Teaching Award. The Department would like to thank the generous donors who make these awards possible. Without their generosity and investment in the students the Department of Politics and Government would be unable to recognize and celebrate the success of our students.
