Registered Student Organization (RSOs) affiliated with the Multicultural Center will host cultural graduation recognition events that honor the University’s Latino/a/x, Asian, and LGBTQIA+ students, their families, and communities. Additionally, the Umoja Community Forum will hold events to honor Black students, families and communities. Each event will recognize the journeys, accomplishments, and successes of our students, and are separate from the traditional commencement ceremonies. To participate in the recognition events, please see the registration links below.

Multicultural Center:
While the Nuestros Logros, Lavender, and the Middle Eastern, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Southeast Asian (MAPS) events will be culturally distinct, each will have a red carpet experience, cultural stole distribution, and photo opportunities to commemorate this special moment and rite of passage. 
Nuestros Logros Graduate Recognition honors our Latino/a/x graduates. Registration is available here.  This event will be on April 24 between 1-3 p.m.  
MAPS Graduate Recognition honors our Middle Eastern, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Southeast Asian graduates. Registration is available here.  This event will be on May 4 between 6-8 p.m.  
Lavender Graduate Recognition honors our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and ace-identified graduates. Registration is available here. This event will be on May 5 between 6-8 p.m.  

Umoja:
Organized by the Umoja Community Forum, Umoja Black Graduation recognition uplifts, amplifies, and honors Black graduates in the Illinois State University community. Please register here to be included in the ninth year of Umoja.
