Following a nationwide search, Jeff Lange has been named as director of Illinois State University’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (OEOA). Lange previously served as the office’s interim director.

Working under the supervision of the president of Illinois State University, the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access oversees and enforces the University’s program to prevent, detect, and respond appropriately to violations of University policy and applicable state and federal laws related to anti-harassment and non-discrimination statutes.

Lange holds a juris doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a master’s degree in college student personnel from Illinois State. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. Since joining the University in 2011, he has served in the Office of General Counsel, Human Resources, and in OEOA as assistant director, ADA coordinator, and deputy Title IX coordinator.

“In the national search for the director of Illinois State’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Access, Jeff Lange’s progressive experience and knowledge in areas including Title IX and ADA proved to be outstanding,” said Pam Cooper, director of Career Services and chair of the search committee for OEOA director. “His qualifications and proven work in University-wide programs, policies, and procedures stood out highest among the candidates.”
