Experienced instructors gave a quick tour of four popular teaching apps as part of the first Ed Tech Tasting event, held at the end of April. All of the software showcased has been licensed for use by instructors at Illinois State. They include Nearpod, Padlet, Flipgrid, and Edpuzzle.
Check out this recording of the event to see these four tools in action.
Instructors and staff can dive deeper into the use of these tools this summer at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.
CTLT’s Technology Support Pages include instructions for getting a license for each app, plus links to handouts and online support resources.
As part of the 2021 Summer Institute, CTLT will offer a special, in-depth workshop, Increase Synchronous and Asynchronous Engagement with Nearpod, Padlet, Flipgrid, and EdPuzzle. Registration for this event is now open, with a deadline of June 1. Seating is limited. The workshop will be held online with both synchronous and asynchronous work. A $100 stipend is available for eligible participants who complete the workshop.
CTLT will also offer a series of Technology Short Courses again this summer. Stay tuned for details, including registration information, coming later in May.
