University College at Illinois State University recently announced that Ashley Berg, technology undergraduate advisor, and Dr. Joshua Brown, professor of technology and engineering education, have received 2021 Impact Awards.
New freshmen and new transfer students can nominate someone for the awards who has motivated, inspired, or supported them during their first semester at Illinois State University.
“There are few people in my life who I would say altered my trajectory. Ashley Berg is one of those people. I’m so glad she received an Impact Award from the University, she absolutely deserves it, as I and so many students rely on her for advice, information, and guidance as we navigate our own paths.”

Their encouragement, support, and passion have impacted their students’ overall success, motivation, transition to Illinois State, retention, and ultimately their graduation. They have shared their passion and challenged the students to be the best they can be.
