Near midnight on September 11, 2021, Normal Police responded to a fight at a large party at Campus Point Apartments near Heartland Community College. Officers saw a person with a gun flee on foot. The University issued an ISU Emergency Alert. No immediate threat to the Illinois State University campus was determined.
