The Illinois State men’s and women’s basketball teams released the 2021–2022 non-conference schedules early last week.
The men’s basketball schedule–with one date remaining open for a future scheduling opportunity–features 12 games, including seven at home, two in Cancun as part of the Cancun Challenge, and three true road games. The Redbirds welcome schools from six different states and have games against teams from 11 different conferences.
Coming off their first postseason appearance in eight years in March at the WNIT, the women’s basketball non-conference schedule features five home games at Redbird Arena, two Big Ten opponents, and a Thanksgiving trip to California.
