Due to the impending winter storm with forecasts for up to 12-18 inches of snow and high winds, Illinois State University will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, February 2–3.  All classes (in-person, hybrid, and online) will be cancelled and will not be delivered remotely.  Residence halls and residential dining centers will remain open. All other campus buildings will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather essential personnel should report to work, but no other employee, regardless of current work location (on-campus or remote) should report to work during the closure.

At this time, the University is scheduled to reopen on Friday, February 4.  The University will continue to monitor the weather forecast and provide updates on campus operations if necessary.

Grounds workers will be clearing sidewalks, steps, and parking lots as weather conditions permit.  It is anticipated it will require a prolonged effort to clear the campus and community of accumulated snow. Please use extreme caution as you move about campus.  Avoid unessential travel.
