Jeremy Driskell, CHE, presented with graduate students at the American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, California. Presentations included “Systematic Control of Thiol Groups on Proteins for Manipulating Interaction with Gold Nanoparticles” with Tosin Ogunlusi, “Protein Modification as a Facile Approach to Retain Activity upon Conjugation to Gold Nanoparticles’ with McKenzie Riley, and “Adsorption Behavior of Chemically/Charge Modified Antibody on Gold Nanoparticles” with Olatunde Awotunde and Samuel Okyem.

T.Y. Wang, POL, was a panelist for “China’s long game over Taiwan: understanding China’s levers of influence” as part of the virtual Asian Expert Workshop, sponsored by the International Institute for Strategic Studies in Singapore.

Scott Pierce, KNR, co-published “Scholars’ perspectives of positive youth development in coach education for high school sports” in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy. Pierce also co-published “Social Skill Transfer from a Sport-Based Positive Youth Development Program to the School Setting” in the Sport Social Work Journal.

Ali Riaz, POL, with alum Sohel Rana ‘21, co-published the paper “Securitization of the Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh” in the Journal of Asian and African Studies.

Michael Torry, Adam Jagodinsky, and Peter Smith, KNR, with student Ladule Lako LoSarah, co-published “Effects of attentional focus cues on lower extremity kinematics during inside of the foot soccer trap among expert soccer players” in the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching.
