Illinois State University’s Department of Politics and Government held the 29th Annual Conference for Students of Political Science on Friday, May 13, 2022. The conference featured research by 25 undergraduate and graduate students from 15 universities and colleges.  

The papers presented at the conference covered diverse topics, such as political economy, transnational justice, democratization in the Arab world and South Asia, comparative judicial politics, political theory, authoritarian populism, gender and politics, and American politics.  

Dr. Orçun Selçuk from Luther College delivered the keynote speech titled Polarizing Populism in Latin America: Inclusion, Exclusion, and Opposition.
