Dr. Noha Shawki attended the 2022 College and University Educators Workshop hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) on April 28 and April 29 at CFR’s New York City headquarters.

The workshop included briefings and panel discussions with subject experts on topics such as climate change, the war in Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the state of democracy and democracy promotion across the world. The workshop further included discussion groups, a panel on diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and international affairs, as well as opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences with other faculty from around the country.

CFR staff also introduced some of the resources available from CFR for faculty who teach global issues, including World 101. Shawki’s participation in the workshop was sponsored by the Office of the Provost.
