The Redbird Red Cross Club is hosting the Challenge on 74 Blood Battle between Illinois State University and Bradley University.
The Illinois State drive will be from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 30, at the Escalante Room in Hewitt/Manchester residence halls.
Appointments are needed for the drive. Make an appointment to give blood by using the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org (Sponsor Code: ISUChallenge), or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
The challenge will determine who can bring in blood donors to help bolster the American Red Cross blood supply. “The real winners will be individuals who will receive lifesaving blood during their time of need, because of these important blood donations,” said Brian Williamsen of the American Red Cross of Illinois.
The winner of the drive will receive bragging rights and a traveling trophy.
