Each spring the Communication Sciences and Disorder (CSD) student organizations, National Student Speech Hearing and Language Association (NSSHLA), Operation Smile, and the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA), hosted a banquet to reflect and celebrate the past year’s accomplishments and honor our graduating students. The banquet was held on Thursday, April 26, inside the Aaron Leetch Club at Hancock Stadium. The students use this event to announce the new boards, recognize students with the highest number of volunteer hours, and raffle off some amazing prizes. They also announce the outstanding educator that was chosen by our CSD students. This year’s recipients were Dr. Rachel Wood for audiology and Tricia Larkin for speech-language pathology. Congratulations to Wood and Larkin for receiving this high honor!

The banquet is also the time when the CSD department recognizes the students who were chosen to receive one of our CSD scholarships. The students who applied for our scholarships completed an essay and submitted two letters of recommendation. We would like to honor those students who received these scholarships by listing them below.
