October 5, 2017

REPORTED OFFENSE:

On Thursday, October 5th, at approximately 4:34 PM, a student reported to ISU Police an unknown male suspect ejaculated on the window of her occupied vehicle while she was parked in ISU Lot G86 (near the intersection of Willow and School Streets).  The suspect immediately fled the scene northbound on Normal Avenue, and was last seen in the 500 block of Bowles.

The suspect was described as a M/B, age 19-24, heavyset, approximately 6’-6’2” tall, 200 lbs., with short hair, wearing a white t-shirt, red shorts, athletic shoes, and a black backpack.

This incident remains under investigation by the ISU Police Department.  Anyone with information should contact the ISU Police at (309) 438-8631.  Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1000 for tips that lead to the arrest of this offender.  Please contact McLean County Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111.

Students and others are strongly encouraged to immediately report ANY suspicious activity to the police.

-Stay alert to your surroundings and the people around you.  Avoid wearing headphones, talking or texting on your cell phone, or anything which can distract you, including the excessive consumption of alcohol.

-Travel in groups and avoid going out alone at night.

-Plan the safest route to your destination; choose well lighted, busy pathways and streets.

-If someone is bothering or harassing you, tell the person in a loud voice to STAY AWAY.

-Carry your cell phone with you and be prepared to call 911 with a suspect description.

-If you are a victim or witness, call the police immediately and try to remember as many details as possible.
