On Wednesday, April 1, at approximately 1:30AM, a non-student was assaulted near the 400 block of W. College Ave. The incident was reported to ISU Police the following day. The victim stated three unknown male suspects made comments about his wife before striking him multiple times in the face and body.
All three suspects were described as college age Caucasian males. Suspect #1 was approximately 6′-0″ in height, wearing blue jeans, and casual shoes. Suspect #2 was approximately 6′-0″ in height, wearing a red shirt with the word “Dickies” printed on it. Suspect #3 was approximately 6′-2″ in height, with tan or brown hair, and wearing dark colored boots.
This incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State University Police Department. Anyone with information should contact the ISU Police at (309) 438-8631. Students and others are strongly encouraged to immediately report ANY suspicious activity to the police.

-Stay alert to your surroundings and the people around you. Avoid wearing headphones, talking or texting on your cell phone, or anything which can distract you, including the excessive consumption of alcohol.
-Travel in groups and avoid going out alone at night.
-Plan the safest route to your destination; choose well lighted, busy pathways and streets.
-If someone is bothering or harassing you, tell the person in a loud voice to STAY AWAY.
-Carry your cell phone with you and be prepared to call 911 with a suspect description.
-If you are a victim or witness, call the police immediately and try to remember as many details as possible.
