October is Cybersecurity Awareness month.

Office of Technology Solutions wants to help all Redbirds be secure online! Criminals and scam artists have developed creative ways to separate you from your money and your personal information throughout the pandemic. We want to give you the knowledge to stop them dead in their tracks. Look for our tables around campus all month long to get helpful cybersecurity tips and free stuff.

Here are some tips on how to avoid falling victim to social engineering scams.

Help our hero avoid socially engineered attacks by taking our online quiz. You’ll be entered in a Grand Prize Raffle for a new MacBook Air at the end of the month!

In future weeks will be covering…

  • Ways that phishing scams steal your personal information and how to stop them.
  • How cybercriminals use different tactics on faculty, staff, and students.  We will cover the best ways for individuals to do their part to stop cybercrime.
  • How you can be a cyber-champion to family, friends, and employers.

We will be in Milner Library TODAY, October 4 from 11 am to 1 pm.

Come by our booth, learn how you can protect your money, and walk away with a “Secure the Bird” T-shirt.
