Erika Hunt, a senior policy analyst and researcher at Illinois State's Center for the Study of Education Policy, presented with University of Illinois at Chicago Professor Shelby Cosner December 12 at a Wallace Foundation meeting.


Elgin Area School District Unit 46 has implemented play-based curriculum in their all-day kindergarten classrooms. The district shared the curriculum's development, implementation, and initial results.


There are currently 47 National Board Professional Development Schools in Illinois led by administrator leaders. The NBRC is expanding this program to include an additional 25 schools/districts to take part in this opportunity during the 2017-2018 school year.
