Dr. Terri Goss Kinzy

The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University has appointed Terri Goss Kinzy, Ph.D., vice president for Research and Innovation at Western Michigan University, as the University’s 20th president.

Three years, seven months, and 22 days after the groundbreaking of the Bone Student Center revitalization project, more than 100 people gathered May 7 in the shadow of the center’s new three-story addition for the rededication of the nearly 48-year-old building.

A $500,000 gift from Barbara Efaw ’59 and family was honored with action by the Board of Trustees on Friday, May 7. In recognition of the family’s generosity, the College of Education’s new student success center will be named the Barbara and Larry Efaw Center for Educator Excellence. The center is scheduled to open spring semester 2022 and will be housed in Degarmo Hall.
