The Vixen will headline the 24th Annual Charity Drag Show: A Galactic Performance on Saturday, April 8. Proceeds from the event will go to the LGBTQIA+ Support Fund.

The diverse culture of Asia will be celebrated with Asian Heritage Week, April 19-22, 2023, with demonstrations, lantern making, and a film. Attendance is limited for some events. Register today.

The panel will include honorees of the David A. Strand Diversity Achievement Award. Panelists will reflect on the institutional changes since the inception of the award.

Illinois State University’s Latin America and Latino/a Studies program and Universidad Autonoma de la Ciudad de Mexico will host a transnational, transborder, and translingual conference. 

Pulitzer Prize-nominated author and scholar Dr. Amy Stanley will deliver Illinois State University’s Robert G. Bone Distinguished Lecture on the problems of narration, methodology, and silence.

Keynote scholar Kate Manne will present “He Said, She Listened: On Epistemic Entitlement, Mansplaining, and Gaslighting” at the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Student Research Symposium.

To increase awareness and educate individuals and the campus community, Illinois State University is holding several events throughout April which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
