On February 22, 2024, Illinois State University celebrated its sixth successful Birds Give Back. Redbirds across the nation donated funds in show of support—and the School of Communication saw a record-breaking number of gifts and dollars donated from alumni, faculty, friends, and students.
In its sixth year, Birds Give Back will be Thursday, February 22, during Redbird Philanthropy Week, February 19-23. Building Birds Together is the theme for 2024 Birds Give Back, as thousands of Redbirds unite to support Redbird causes.
The fifth annual Birds Give Back, Illinois State University’s day of giving, will be Thursday, February 23, during Redbird Philanthropy Week with a goal to receive 3,000 gifts in support of Redbird initiatives.
Birds Give Back is the annual day of giving for at Illinois State University. The School of Communication received the most gifts and raised more than twice the amount it did in 2021.
For Birds Give Back 2022, Milner Library will be raising funds to help address student textbook costs.
The fourth annual Birds Give Back, Illinois State’s own giving day, will be held on Thursday, February 24, during ISU’s Redbird Philanthropy Week scheduled from February 21-25.
When 100 donations are made to the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning during Birds Give Back on February 27, alumni Scott and Ali Preston will donate $5,000 to fund civic education programs and initiatives.
