Former Redbird standout thrower Brittany Smith posted third-place finishes in the women’s hammer throw and shot put competitions August 15 at the Pan American Sports Festival in Mexico City, Mexico.
Smith named Capital One Academic All-American
Senior track and field standout Brittany Smith was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I men’s and women’s track and field and cross country teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida). She was a third-team selection.
