Eleven students and two faculty members–Colleen Brennan and Judith Briggs–from the teacher education area of the School of Art in the College of Fine Arts spent two weeks this summer working with the art education department at Australian Catholic University (ACU) in Sydney, Australia. They went there to examine how New South Wales secondary visual arts teachers implement the unique Frames curriculum model.

College of Fine Arts students intern in Washington, D.C.

For the second year the College of Fine Arts took part in a universitywide initiative to have summer interns in Washington, D.C. Christina Fontenelle, an undergraduate student studying painting, and Molly Briggs, an undergraduate student studying acting/theatre management, were chosen to represent the College of Fine Arts and Illinois State University at the Smithsonian Office of Exhibits Central and The Studio Theatre, respectively.
