Sewing a vision of peace: Students create International Day of Peace quilt
This fall, Milner Library partnered with the Department of Health Sciences, specifically the students in the Global Health course, to design a community quilt based on the 17 goals for sustainable development created by the United Nations (UN) for the International Day of Peace. It is on display on Milner Library’s sixth floor through mid-December.

Illinois State art students create documentary for local nonprofit
Students in Assistant Professor Ruth Burke’s special topics course created a video documentary to spread awareness about Sunnyside Community Garden’s mission to help people have access to healthy and organic produce. The documentary is approximately 15 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer session with the students.
Collaboration leads to cookware program supporting local students
A new cookware program, a collaboration between the School Street Food Pantry, Illinois State University, and Molina Healthcare, will provide students with a kitchen starter set and knowledge about nutritional information.
