The Richard A. Manahan Family Teaching Excellence Recognition Award rewards teaching excellence
The Richard A. Manahan Family Teaching Excellence Recognition Award was created by Dr. Richard A. Manahan and family in 1984. The award is given to a full-time Department of Educational Administration and Foundations (EAF) faculty member to recognize significant teaching quality. The recipient’s quality to, “inspire students to achieve their full learning potential both in and outside of the classroom” is a desired requirement.
Doctoral student demonstrates natural leadership, dedication to service
There are not many people who can say they have bested Jim Belushi routinely in speech debate. But for Adrienne McDay, a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations (EAF), it was a regular occurrence for her while she earned her degree in speech from Southern Illinois University.
