Illinois State University will be celebrating Homecoming from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5, with a special tree-lighting event in Uptown Normal on Sept. 25. US attorney recognizes ISU alum for unraveling tax fraud case

Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) Special Agent Brett Rovey, B.S./M.P.A. ’09, was recognized February 27 by U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson, of the Southern District of Texas, at the 2014 United States Attorney’s Awards Ceremony held in Houston.

Each semester, eight of Illinois State’s senior education majors pack up their belongings and head south for student teaching. They drive through the rolling hills of Missouri, past the Oklahoma plains, and into the Lone Star State. This 1,000-mile journey leads them to San Antonio, the setting of their last preservice teaching experience.
