College of Business alums are invited to a night of networking at The Metropolitan Club in the Willis Tower. The complimentary evening will feature formal remarks by interim dean Gerry McKean along with hors d’oeuvres provided by the club and a cash bar.
Illinois State University will be celebrating Homecoming from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5, with a special tree-lighting event in Uptown Normal on Sept. 25. In each of the last two years Friends of the Arts’ grants have helped the Clef Hangers spread their love of song and their pride in Illinois State University by supporting the a cappella group’s spring tour of Illinois high schools.
Each semester, eight of Illinois State’s senior education majors pack up their belongings and head south for student teaching. They drive through the rolling hills of Missouri, past the Oklahoma plains, and into the Lone Star State. This 1,000-mile journey leads them to San Antonio, the setting of their last preservice teaching experience.
