A collaborative effort that stands out amongst all the rest of the Museum’s partnerships is the annual History and Social Sciences Teacher Symposium. Since 2007 the symposium has been jointly sponsored by Illinois State University’s Department of History, the Museum, and the Regional Office of Education 17 (ROE 17).

Local nonprofits take part in Civic Engagement Day at Festival ISU
Civic Engagement Day was a great way for students to learn about the importance of civic engagement and find out ways they can help in their community. Representatives from 34 local nonprofit organizations had the opportunity to talk to students about their volunteer and internship opportunities.
