Dean Keyser delivers keynote at 2024 CITx Conference

On Friday, February 23, campus information technology (IT) professionals gathered for the half-day Continuous Improvement in Technology (CIT) Conference, known as CITx. The keynote was presented by Dr. Thomas Keyser, the founding dean of Illinois State University’s College of Engineering.

Illinois State University upgrading to Wi-Fi 6E

Illinois State University is in the process of upgrading to Wi-Fi 6E. The new wireless access point hardware is currently in a pilot stage in Julian Hall to give network engineers experience and to be able to troubleshoot any issues before rolling it out to the rest of campus.

On Wednesday, August 2, campus information technology (IT) professionals gathered for the annual Continuous Improvement in Technology (CIT) Conference. Several sessions this year revolved around the advancement and use of artificial intelligence (AI), including the general session, “Generative AI: Exploring the Landscape,” given by David Bruce, executive partner with Gartner.
