Reaccreditation process update, Fall 2023

Illinois State University’s Accreditation Steering Committee and work team members have compiled the first draft of an assurance argument document for the University’s reaccreditation process through the Higher Learning Commission.  

Driving change: Inclusive, equitable and just STEM education

The program focuses on undergraduate students who have historically been excluded from STEM areas of study. The desire is to foster institutional change toward inclusive, equitable, and just STEM education. The ISU program will provide support to these students so that they may excel and become leaders in the STEM field, as well as professional development opportunities for STEM faculty and staff.

A data science competition, called OSF 30-Day Readmission, aims to create a predictive model to predict whether a patient discharged from OSF HealthCare will be readmitted within 30 days.

General education revision update

Since October, the Executive Committee of the General Education Revision Task Force has been carefully reviewing the feedback it received. The committee is currently engaged in making carefully considered and appropriate adjustments to their proposal and hopes the proposal will be completed by the end of the fall semester.
