Everyone is welcome to attend the second annual Communities of Belonging and Success (COBAS) Taller (Workshop) on Thursday, June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Williams Hall, Room 314. The workshop is made possible by an Illinois State University Provost Innovation and Enhancement Grant. Illinois State University programs are once again ranked for Best Graduate Schools. Nine programs made the ranking, with four in the top 100 of their fields.
The Department of Chemistry’s Dr. Christopher C. Mulligan will deliver the Spring College of Arts and Sciences Lecture with “Pushing the Boundaries of Chemical Identification with Mass Spectrometry.” The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

Established in 2020 by Joseph ’99 and Shannon Fluder ’00, the Promoting Equality in the Sciences Scholarship aims to support and promote an individual with a commitment to diversity and inclusion at Illinois State University. Junior social work major Daniela Martinez received the scholarship for fall 2022.
Dr. Cheri J. Simonds, professor of communication, will deliver the second College of Arts and Sciences Fall Lecture on Thursday, October 27 with the talk, “Designing General Education Curriculum with Assessment in Mind.”
The College of Arts and Sciences will conduct a food drive to benefit the School Street Food Pantry, October 10–21. Collection boxes will be available in the College office and in all school/department offices.
