Weibring Golf Club staff members adapt and serve during pandemic

The Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University has achieved designation as a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Weibring Golf Club has been up to the many challenges and adapted well in order to serve the golfing public. There really wasn’t much alternative since coronavirus (COVID-19) caused golf courses throughout the state to open late this season. Weibring Golf Club opened on May 1, with a number of restrictions.

The Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University has achieved designation as a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, making it one of 897 golf courses internationally to earn the designation. Endorsed by the United States Golf Association, the Audubon program for golf courses helps preserve and enhance wildlife habitat.
