All alumni are invited to attend the Illinois State University Alumni Association’s annual Legislative Breakfast on Tuesday, March 28, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in rooms 403 and 404 of the State Library, Capitol and 2nd, Springfield.
The breakfast is an opportunity for Illinois State alumni, faculty, students and administrators to meet with members of the Illinois General Assembly to promote their continued support of Illinois State University.
All members of the Illinois General Assembly will receive an invitation from President Al Bowman to attend this event. However, as a constituent message, your personal invitation to your legislators may influence their decisions to attend.
We are asking for your assistance in attending the breakfast and bringing another Illinois State graduate with you, spreading the word to other alumni, and contacting your legislators as a follow-up to President Bowman’s invitation to tell them you look forward to seeing them at the breakfast. Alumni may join us for any or all of the continental-style breakfast time. A brief program will begin at approximately 8 a.m., including the announcement of the 2006 Alumni Association John W. Maitland Commitment to Education Award recipient.
