Gina Bianchi will be joining Alumni Relations this July as the acting assistant director of Alumni Relations. Her responsibilities will include the Alumni Association Awards, Homecoming and the Half Century Club.
Bianchi has spent all of her professional life at the collegiate level since graduating from Millikin University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations and from Illinois State University with a master’s degree in athletic administration.
The Granville, Ill. native started her professional career at Illinois Wesleyan University where she worked as a hall director, conference coordinator and assistant softball coach. She came to Illinois State in 1996 as an academic assistant in the Karin Bone Athletic Study Center, where she worked with student athletes. Bianchi’s next job was as a development coordinator in Athletics, where she assisted with the annual fund, did fund raising and friend raising and coordinated events such as the Hall of Fame Banquet and golf outings. Her next two positions at Illinois State were both in University Advancement, first as director of the Annual Fund and then as director of development for the Student Affairs division.
“I am looking forward to meeting and working with the committed and active Illinois State alumni,” Bianchi said. “As an Illinois State alum myself, I will serve other alumni with insight and enthusiasm.
