Illinois State’s College of Business (COB) has adopted BusinessWeek as a teaching tool in all Business 100 courses, which are required of freshmen and sophomore business students. A cover wrap featuring the COB was created for a special magazine edition featuring “Trouble at the Office? – Toxic Bosses, Work/Life Balance, Generational Tension.” It will be used for recruitment, as well as educational and development purposes.
“The special cover and the accompanying PDF will enable the college to highlight its excellence and programs with external constituencies in a different way,” said Director of Development Norris Porter.
Porter coordinated the project that gives students and faculty access to a significant amount of additional content and helpful resources on the BusinessWeek Web site. Faculty tie articles to topics being discussed in class through presentations, article summary journals, and in-class discussions.
