The Illinois State University Report is joining the digital age. Starting in August, the weekly faculty-staff newsletter will be published exclusively online. Alumni whose e-mail addresses are registered with the University can sign up to receive the electronic publication.
The Report will be sent each Tuesday to e-mail inboxes. The online format will differ from the print format, with one to two lead story abstracts in the e-mail and links to the full stories. Some events will be featured, with others pointing directly to the University calendar.
In his 2006 State of the University Address, President Al Bowman announced the University had signed the Illinois Sustainable University Compact, joining 32 colleges and universities across the state. President Bowman said the Compact is an action-based pledge to improve how our campus interacts with the environment and to promote ecology, encourage respect for life on earth and highlight the growing concern over the over-pollution of the soil, air and water. Taking Report online will help with sustainability by saving paper and energy.
