Actor B.D. Wong will be the featured speaker at the Illinois State University Housing Services LGBT Cultural Dinner on Monday, Sept. 27, at 5 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom. The event will include dinner, live music, a book signing and an opportunity for pictures and autographs with Wong.
Advance purchase tickets for the event are required and are available at University dining centers from Sept. 13 – 22. The cost is $15.25 for community members, $12 for Illinois State faculty, staff and students without a meal plan, or one meal swipe for those with a University meal plan. Wong, star of NBC’s Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and the HBO series Oz, will speak about his personal experiences in relation to LGBT issues, his background and the importance of diversity and inclusiveness. He will also discuss his various television, movie and Broadway roles and new projects he is working on.
