The Stanley Cup—the most revered sports trophy in the world—will be on display on campus October 16 as part of Homecoming. Chicago Blackhawks Executive Vice President Jay Blunk, a 1986 Illinois State alum, will accompany the cup to his alma mater as the honored alum representing the School of Communication.
Fans will get a good look at the cup as it becomes part of the Homecoming parade through campus, and in a special pregame ceremony at Hancock Stadium before the Redbirds take on the North Dakota State Bison in a Missouri Valley Football Conference game.
