Submit your suggestions for “Where Are They Now”
One of the most memorable aspects of the Illinois State University experience is the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff who become mentors and friends. Alumni from all generations can remember someone from campus who invested in their future and made a difference in their life.
Reconnecting with that person is a thrill for all involved. Let the Illinois State staff help you do just that through the magazine’s Where Are They Now column. If there is someone you would like to find, just submit the request to Susan Blystone at sjblyst@IllinoisState.edu, call (309) 438-2667, or mail to 1101 N. Main Street, Normal, IL 61790.
I can’t remember my Early Childhood Education teacher/advisor’s name, but would love to know where he is now. He was my core English teacher in 1976/77 timeframe. Is there any way to know who it was and where he might be? I want to say his name was Dr. Irving but maybe not. Thank you in advance!
I would love to know where Doug Turco went. I had him for three or four classes in Grad School in KNR. He was always running around town. Really enjoyed his classes, just wondering?
Mr Cosgrove…freshman English
I am wondering about 2 of my former mentors/profs – Dr. David Wright (Speech Communications) and Paula Olson (Radio Production).
Both of these people had a huge impact on my education there, and also on my subsequent life/livelihood.
Thank you in advance!
I would like to know about Dr. Twyman Jones and Dr. John Behling
Lois Lilly… I do think she is deceased…marvelous early childhood teacher…. and Rita Kohn (I would like to know her pen name too…she was published in childrens literature and had suggested that I look into marrying Maurice Sendak!) It never happened, but Where the Wild things Are was out and just think, I could have played Max ; >)
Another request to know about Rita Kohn. She was the best children’s lit. instructor. Would also like to know what happened to Mr. Hocking-American lit., early 1970s.
I’d like to know about my art instructor, Ann Walther.
Would like to know where Soc Professors Olie Pocs and Robert (Bob) Walsh are now, I worked for them as a grad student,
