Description:
Illinois River Energy, a GTL Resources Bio Refining company, has an immediate opening for an Information Technology Programmer – Part Time – Intern. The part-time intern IT Programmer will be responsible for the development of computer software programs and database programming. The IT Programmer Intern position will be a Monday – Friday position with flexible hours. This position will be responsible for automating business functions to reduce repetitive tasks and/or streamline processes and is expected to contribute to the design and development of field-usable software.
To qualify for this position the successful candidate must have:
Three to four (3-4) years’ total experience in a software development programming related capacity
Minimum of two years of software and database programming
Minimum of two years in a programming support field
Minimum of three years of computer/database programming college classes
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50#
Excellent working knowledge of the following:
Net
C#
SQL
PHP
JavaScript
Silverlight
HTML
Understanding of the following:
General technical ability as well as adaptability
Solid research skills
The ability to work independently with little supervision
Preferred:
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science (Major – Programming) or related technical/business discipline
Certification or experience in any of the following systems highly desirable:
Computer support, systems developing and analyzing
Computer programming
Web design
