Alumni and Redbird football fans are invited to a pregame tailgate and to cheer on the Redbirds as they take on Eastern Illinois on September 1. This game marks Illinois’ longest running collegiate football rivalry, as the teams match up for their 100th game. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with fellow alumni and friends, meet Illinois State President Al Bowman and new Athletics Director Gary Friedman, and enjoy Redbird football!
Cost is $20 per person for the bus, $17 for each game ticket, and $20 for admittance to the tailgate which includes dinner, all beverages, and a spirit pack. Kids ages two and under are free for the tailgate.
September 1
1:30 p.m. Bus departs from Illinois State’s Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main Street. The bus will return from Charleston immediately following the game.
4–6 p.m. Tailgate at Billy’s Backyard Open Tailgate, southwest of O’Brien Stadium at Eastern Illinois University
6:30 p.m. Kickoff at O’Brien Stadium, 600 Lincoln Avenue in Charleston.
