Alumni can benefit from a variety of online career resources that will help you translate experience into a new career field, search for a job, critique a resume, or practice interviewing skills.

  • FOCUS is a self-assessment tool to help select career fields most compatible to your personal interests, skills, and goals. Assessment results are matched to occupations. This is especially helpful to alums contemplating changing careers.
  • eRECRUITING is an interactive job vacancy tool with more than 6,000 active employers looking for ISU candidates. Browse full-time job opportunities and post your resume to be viewed by employers. Be sure to check out the many on-campus interview opportunities in eRecruiting.
  • INTERVIEW STREAM will help you hone your interviewing skills. Conduct mock interviews from pre-recorded questions using a Web-accessible computer with a webcam. Record your answers for future playback or a career advisor’s critique.
  • CAREER ADVISING is available through email, phone, or Skype appointments. Contact Maureen Roach by calling (309) 438-5823 or send an email to maroach@IllinoisState.edu.

To take advantage of these online resources, just log on through the Career Center’s website at CareerCenter.IllinoisState.edu/Focus.shtml.
