Each February at Illinois State is marked by a campus celebration of the University’s history. Founders Day is a time to reflect on the humble beginnings of Illinois State Normal University in 1857, as well as the institution’s growth over time.
This year’s events, held on February 16, were no exception. From the bell ringing ceremony through the Convocation and alumni awards dinner, the day was appreciated as a time to applaud the efforts of those who have made Illinois State stellar in the past and present.
