Fans and patrons of Illinois State baseball and softball will have plenty of opportunities to watch the Redbirds during April, and they won’t be able to beat the cost, as every game at Duffy Bass Field and Marian Kneer Stadium is FREE this season.
The Redbird baseball team will play eight home games during the month starting with a midweek game against in-state rival Eastern Illinois on April 3. That weekend (April 6–8), the Redbirds will host Missouri Valley Conference perennial powerhouse Wichita State. ISU also hosts Bradley April 20–22, and Big Ten Conference foe Purdue on April 24.
The Illinois State softball team will host four Missouri Valley Conference series during the month and a midweek contest against DePaul on April 11. The Redbirds will host Evansville from April 6–7 and Drake April 14–15. Illinois State will continue its trek through the Missouri Valley Conference by hosting Indiana State on April 24 and Creighton on April 28–29.
