Purpose of Position
This position will lead the 2nd shift of the University IT Operations Center and the Enterprise Service Desk. The IT Operations Center provides comprehensive metrics, monitoring, notification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and critical IT incident management services for the campus IT community. The Enterprise Service Desk provides first level phone support for University staff utilizing enterprise applications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
- Any combination totaling two years from the following categories:
- Progressively more responsible work experience in IT related profession.
- College course work in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- -60 semester hours or Associate’s Degree equals one year
- -90-120 semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals two years.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field that has a customer service focus.
- Certification from the Help Desk Institute
- ITIL Foundations Certification
